The Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine offers a four-year professional degree. Students graduate with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with the knowledge and training to become day-one ready veterinarians. The faculty strives to empower students to become highly skilled professionals who can practice in underserved communities in South Carolina. Students learn both small and large animal medicine, offering them a wide array of job opportunities.
The complex, which is under construction, is located across the street from Clemson University’s Equine Center on West Queen Street in Pendleton. Nestled adjacent to the Clemson Experimental Forest, the complex is comprised of six buildings designed to provide students with spaces for collaboration, hands-on learning, and personal growth.
The College continues the process of earning accreditation. The CVM anticipates awarding the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree to its first graduates in May 2030.
