ANTH 3320 - World Archaeology 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Global survey of the earliest complex societies focusing on the origins of “pristine states” from the perspective of anthropological archaeology. Following a brief overview of archaeological methods and approaches, students learn about the origins of complex societies of Mesopotamia, the Indus Valley, Egypt, China, Mesoamerica, and the Andes.
