MATH 4600 - Introduction to Numerical Analysis I

3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)
Introduction to the problems of numerical analysis emphasizing computational procedures and application. Topics include sources of error and conditioning, matrix methods, systems of linear equations, nonlinear equations, interpolation and approximation by splines, polynominals, and trigonometric functions. Preq: MATH 2060  or MATH 2070 ; and MATH 3600  or MATH 3650 .
