MSE 4580 - Surface Phenomena in Materials Science and Engineering 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)
Introduction to surface phenomena focusing on fiber science. Fundamentals of interfacial phenomena embrace thermodynamics of surfaces, physics of adhesion, wetting, and finishing emphasizing specific features associated with interactions of liquids and chemicals with fibers and fibrous materials. Preq: Junior standing in engineering or science.
