MATH 1150 - Contemporary Mathematics for Elementary School Teachers I 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Cooperative learning groups, manipulatives, and concrete models are used to demonstrate logical reasoning, problem-solving strategies, sets and their operations, numeration systems, properties and operations of whole numbers, number theory, prime and composite numbers, divisibility, common factors and multiples. Open to Elementary, Early Childhood, and Special Education majors only. Preq: Any MATH or STAT course or a score of 50 or higher on the Clemson Mathematics Placement Test.
