BIOL 6200 - Neurobiology3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Broad background in neurobiology. Topics include neuroanatomical structure-function; conduction in the neuron; neurite growth and development; neuromuscular junction; chemistry, physiology, and pharmacology of specific neurotransmitters and receptors; visual process; axoplasmic transport; hypothalamic-pituitary regulation; theories of behavior; theories of learning and memory. Students are expected to have completed coursework in cell biology and general physics before enrolling in this course.
