GEOL 3600 - Geology and Castles of Scotland

3 Credits (1 Contact Hours)
Students spend two weeks in Scotland exploring its diverse geology and visiting medieval castles and ancient stone mountains. Highlights include studying the unconformity at Siccar Point made famous by James Hutton, the father of modern geology, and travelling “The Rock Route” through the Scottish Highlands, where modern ideas about mountain building were birthed.
