BIOE 4120 - Orthopaedic Engineering and Pathology 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Interdisciplinary study of clinical orthopaedic cases (bone growth, bone remodeling, osteoarthritis, implant fixation and joint replacements); biomechanical, biomaterials, tribology and clinical diagnosis of failed implants (total joint replacements, fracture fixation and spinal instrumentation); basic concepts of orthopaedic pathology for engineers. Preq: BIOE 3020 . Preq or concurrent enrollment: BIOE 3100 and BIOE 3200 .
