BIOL 4730 - History of Modern Biology 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Examines the intellectual and social factors defining the study of life from the scientific revolution of the 1600s to the modern biological sciences. Investigates the historical origins of biological disciplines and explores the differing cultures, methodologies, and philosophical commitments of these communities. Preq: BIOL 1040 and BIOL 1060 ; or BIOL 1110 .
