ENGL 4830 - African American Literature from 1920 to the Present 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Critical examination of the development of the African American literary tradition from the Harlem Renaissance to the present. Considers historical and cultural contexts of a variety of texts, themes, theories and literary movements. Preq: ENGL 2020 or ENGL 2120 or ENGL 2130 or ENGL 2140 or ENGL 2150 or ENGL 2160 .
