ECE 4100 - Industrial Control and Automation

3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)
Introduction to control systems specifically related to electrical and computer engineering industrial applications, and manufacturing and production systems. Topics include continuous variable control and the PID paradigm, applications of the Z-transform, digital control, model-predictive control, direct adaptive control, discrete logic control, ladder logic and PLC implementation, and equipment interfacing and industrial networking protocols. Preq: ECE 4090  with a grade of C or better.
