MATH 6600 - Introduction to Numerical Analysis I3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Introduction to the problems of numerical analysis emphasizing computational procedures and application. Topics include sources of error and conditioning, matrix methods, systems of linear equations, nonlinear equations, interpolation and approximation by splines, polynominals, and trigonometric functions. Students are expected to have completed a Multivariable Calculus course and a Mathematical Computing course before enrolling in this course.
