PHYS 8520 - Scattering and Imaging3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Explores the methods of scattering and imaging as complementary tools in studying the static and dynamic structure of materials. The basics of X-ray scattering, neutron scattering, and electron microscopy are covered. Relationships between these techniques and the fundamental concepts explored in solid state physics, inorganic chemistry and material physics are reviewed.
