BIOE 4400 - Biopharmaceutical Engineering 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) This course examines the design principles necessary to use bacteria, fungi, and mammalian cells in bioengineering applications, including molecular techniques, fermentation, process scale-up, purification processes, and FDA regulations. The production of biopharmaceuticals derived from recombinant systems, including uses in medical systems, in emphasized. Preq: BCHM 3010 or BCHM 3050 .
