MICR 4150 - Microbial Genetics 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Investigates the molecular basis of microbial lives. Topics include essential genes involved in DNA, RNA and protein metabolism; mutations and genome evolution; global gene regulation; and genetic analysis, using forward and reverse genetics. Includes Honors sections. Preq: MICR 3050 with a grade of C or higher; and MICR 4120 ; and BCHM 3010 or BCHM 3050 ; and GEN 3000 or GEN 3020 . Non-Microbiology majors are eligible to enroll without credit for MICR 4120 but must request a registration override from the instructor.
