ANTH 4280 - Law, Culture and Society 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Introduces anthropological approaches to the study of law. The power of language, the identity of legal subjects, intellectual property, postsocialist property relations, international disputes, human rights, and legal pluralism are examined. Students are encouraged to think critically about the place of law in human society. Preq: ANTH 2010 or JUST 2880 or SOC 2010 .
