3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)This course examines the major figures and traditions in the field of ancient political thought. In particular, students read and discuss the work of Plato, Aristotle, Cicero, and others. Students learn how to approach texts carefully and how to write clearly about the ideas of the ancient Western traditions of political thought. Preq: Sophomore standing.
