CPSC 4300 - Applied Data Science 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Course covers applied methods and techniques in Data Science, including data scraping, cleaning, and storage; technical issues when working with different types of data; basic topics in machine learning; parallel and distributed computing; cloud computing; data visualization; and ethical issues in Data Science. Preq: CPSC 2120 ; and one of IE 3610 or MATH 3020 or STAT 2300 or STAT 3090 .
