LARC 2150 - Planting Design

3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)
The ecological, conceptual and aesthetic potentials of planting design as an expressive and living medium are examined through case studies, readings, and discussions. Planting design is discussed in terms of contemporary and historic issues relative to environment, context, and culture. Woody and herbaceous plant species, including plant communities, are used as a foundation for designing environmentally sensitive and culturally relevant vegetated environments.
