MATH 1050 - Precalculus 5 Credits (4 Contact Hours) Extensive treatment of topics chosen to prepare students for the study of calculus. Special emphasis is given to polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions and their graphs, as well as basic and analytic trigonometry. Students who have received credit for any other mathematical sciences course, except MATH 1980 or MATH 1990 , will not be allowed to enroll in or receive credit for MATH 1050. To be taken Pass/No Pass only. Preq: MATH 1980 or MATH 1990 , or a score of 480 or higher on the SAT Math section, or a score of 19 or higher on the ACT Math section, or a score of 30 or higher on the Clemson Mathematics Placement Test (CMPT). Coreq: MATH 1051 .
