3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)Focuses on elements of melody, harmony, timbre, rhythm, meter, lyrics, and form in popular music. The primary objectives of this course are the analysis of these elements in existing music and the synthesis of these elements in the writing of original songs. Preq: MUSC 1410 or MUSC 1420.
