EDLT 4700 - Foundational Principles for Teaching PK-12 Multilingual Learners 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Introduces preservice teachers to theories and principles related to second language acquisition as applied in culturally and linguistically responsive classrooms. Presents instructional models and strategies for teaching the language acquisition process within a context of academics supportive of multilingual learners (MLs) and their needs.
