BIOE 4210 - Biomechanics of Movement 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Overview of the major challenges in movement biomechanics and the engineering tools used to address them. Topics include muscle-tendon physiology, muscle activation-contraction dynamics, engineering models of muscle-tendon, motion capture, inverse kinematics/dynamics, and the muscle redundancy problem. Students reinforce learned concepts in computer programming exercises and a class project. Preq: MATH 2080 and MATH 3110 .
