Program Requirements
A master’s degree, preferably in a forestry discipline, is required for enrollment in the Doctor of Philosophy program. The candidate may be required to satisfy deficiencies before being admitted to full status. A formal dissertation is required for the PhD degree. The PhD degree requires a minimum of 16 credits of coursework and 18 credits of dissertation research (FOR 9910 ) beyond the student’s master’s degree coursework. One-half of the semester hours must be selected from courses numbered 8000 and above, and at least eight credits must be in forestry (FOR) classes. FNR 8080 must be taken twice for a total of two credits. FOR 7070 , if taken, may be taken for a maximum of six credits. |
