Program Requirements

Information regarding Psychology Degrees

A formal thesis and an internship are required for the MS degree. MS students complete 45 credit hours, including six hours of thesis credit and six hours of credit for the internship. Typically, the internship is completed in the summer between the first and second years of the program. In some cases, six credit hours of approved electives may be substituted for the field internship.

Applicants should have an undergraduate degree with a major in psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university. All applicants must submit scores from the general portion of the GRE. Applicants must also submit three letters of reference and a statement describing their interests and accomplishments and the faculty members they want to work with.
