Program Requirements
The program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Teaching is designed for students planning to teach mathematics on the secondary school level (grades 9-12). (Note: The program leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education with a Teaching Area of Mathematics is also designed for students planning to teach mathematics on the secondary school level.) To be recommended for licensure, students must earn a grade of C or higher in all required mathematics content and education courses.

1 See General Education Requirements . Cross-Cultural Awareness Requirement must be in an area other than history.
2 Select from courses in ASTR, BIOL, CH, GEOL, PHYS
3 ENGL 2120 , ENGL 2130 , ENGL 2140 , ENGL 2150
4 Select from ECON 2000 , ECON 2110 , or ECON 2120
5 Select from HIST 1010 , HIST 1020 , HIST 1720 , HIST 1730 , or HIST 1930
6 EDSC 4260 and EDLT 4980 must be taken concurrently prior to the teaching internship. Offered fall semester only.
7 EDSC 4460 and EDSC 4560 must be taken concurrently. Offered spring semester only.
