Description
The Department of Marketing offers the nine-credit Sales Certificate to meet the need for more focused training for undergraduate students who are oriented toward a career in professional selling and sales management. The coursework and experiences provide a solid grounding in the foundations, theory, and research of sales, as well as a good understanding of the technology involved in the profession. An important part of the experience is the development of practical selling skills. The following requirements must be satisfied:
- MKT 4200 - Professional Selling 3 Credits
- MKT 4240 - Sales Management 3 Credits
- One additional MKT course (3 Credits) 1
- Experiential Requirement 2
1The additional MKT course must be approved by the certificate director or department chair. Ideally, the course should be a formal practicum, such as Creative Inquiry, to subsume the experiential requirement.
2The experiential requirement must be approved by the certificate director or department chair.
