Footnotes
1 Up to eight credits in computer science satisfied by one of the following combinations:
Students selecting an option that does not add up to eight credits must make up the remaining 1-2 credits by taking an elective.
2 A two-semester sequence selected from the list of Natural Science with Laboratory selected from the following combinations:
3 See the South Carolina REACH Act Requirement in the Academic Regulations section.
4 See General Education Requirements . ECON 2110 is recommended. ECON 2110 is required for students whose emphasis area is Actuarial Science/Financial Mathematics.
5 See General Education Requirements .
6 PHYS 1220 or PHYS 2070 , or if the student satisfies the Natural Science with Laboratory requirement with a PHYS course sequence, this requirement may be satisfied by any three-credit course in AMFG, ASTR, AUE, BCHM, BE, BIOE, BIOL, BMOL, BT, CE, CH, CHE, CPSC, ECAS, ECE, EES, EM, ENGR, GEN, GEOL, IE, MATH, ME, MICR, MSE, PHYS, or STAT not being applied to a Mathematical Sciences degree program requirement.

NOTES:
- For graduation, a candidate for the BS degree in Mathematical Sciences will be required to have a 2.0 or higher cumulative grade-point average in all required MATH courses.
- Students who change majors to Mathematical Sciences must have achieved the Minimum Cumulative Grade-Point Average (MCGPA) by Total Credit Hour Level as defined in the Academic Regulations section and must have received a grade of C or better in all MATH courses taken.
-
A transfer course may not be used to satisfy the General Education Global Challenges Requirement. While a transfer course may fulfill other degree requirements, students must enroll in a Clemson course(s) on the Global Challenges list to fulfill the Global Challenges Requirement.
