Program Description
The Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate is available to graduate students in engineering and science disciplines across campus. The certificate is intended to serve those students who
- envision an entrepreneurial career as their long-range career goal,
- want to be involved in new product and new business activities within a corporate setting,
- seek a better understanding of the process of commercializing inventions.

Summary of Certificate Requirements
To qualify for a Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate students must complete three pre-approved courses (9 credit hours total). Two of the three courses must be selected from the list of pre-approved MBA/MGT course offerings. The last three credit hours can be selected by the student, with the guidance of their department advisor and the approval of the Spiro Institute. The elective course must be of graduate level and relevant to the overall purpose of the Certificate as stated in the program description. In addition, students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA in all nine credit hours.
