The Homeland Defense and Security Certificate provides a foundation of core coursework for public or non-profit sector professionals working in homeland defense and security (HDS). The secondary objective is to ensure HDS professionals understand critical linkages of their field to the larger public sector and to the field of emergency management (EM). All of the credits earned during the certificate program are fully transferable to the full MPA degree program.
