Minor Description

A minor in Materials Science and Engineering requires MSE 2100 , and 12 additional credits selected from BE 4840 , CE 2060 , CE 3510 , CE 4520 , CE 4530 , CH 4010 , CH 4020 , CH 4540 , CH 4650 , CHE 3190 , EES 4090 , EES 4840 , ENGR 1410 1, ME 2040 , ME 4400 , MSE 3100 , MSE 3190 , MSE 3260 , MSE 3270 , MSE 3450 , MSE 4020 , MSE 4070 , MSE 4120 , MSE 4130 , MSE 4150 , MSE 4160 , MSE 4170 , MSE 4220 , MSE 4240 , MSE 4280 , MSE 4320 , MSE 4340 , MSE 4520 , MSE 4530 , MSE 4540 , MSE 4570 , MSE 4580 , MSE 4610 , MSE 4650 , MSE 4900 , PHYS 4450 , PHYS 4460 and PKSC 4160 . At least nine of the 12 additional credits must be at the 3000 or 4000 level and at least six of the credits must be MSE courses.
1 One of the following combinations may be substituted for ENGR 1410 : (1) ENGR 1070 and ENGR 1080 and ENGR 1090 ; or (2) CHE 1300 and ENGR 1070 ; or (3) ENGR 1640 .
NOTE: This minor is not open to Materials Science and Engineering majors.
