A minor in East Asian Studies requires three credits selected from CHIN 3050 , CHIN 3060 , CHIN 3160 , CHIN 3170 , CHIN 3980 , CHIN 4110 , CHIN 4120 , CHIN 4160 , CHIN 4170 , JAPN 3030 , JAPN 3050 , JAPN 3060 , JAPN 3070 , JAPN 3080 , JAPN 3160 , JAPN 3980 , JAPN 4040 , JAPN 4060 , JAPN 4110 , JAPN 4120 , JAPN 4160 , JAPN 4900 , or JAPN 4910 ; and 12 additional credits selected from ANTH 4170 , ANTH 4180 , CHIN 3120 , CHIN 3130 , CHIN 4010 , CHIN 4020 , CHIN 4140 , CHIN 4180 , CHIN 4990 , EAS 1230 , HIST 3300 , HIST 3330 , HIST 3340 , JAPN 4010 , JAPN 4060 , JAPN 4170 , JAPN 4300 , JAPN 4560 , JAPN 4990 , LANG 3100 , PHIL 3120 , PHIL 3130 , PHIL 4140 , POSC 3720 , POSC 4770 , REL 3130 , REL 3140 , and WCIN 4560 . These additional 12 credits must include courses focused on both China and Japan, and at least six of these credits must be at the 4000 level.
