EDLT 4670 - Principles and Strategies for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in Elementary Schools

3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)
Introduces preservice teachers to theories and principles related to second language acquisition as applied in culturally and linguistically responsive classrooms. Presents instructional models and strategies for teaching the language acquisition process within a context of academics supportive of English language learners (ELLs) and their needs. Preq: Admission to the professional level. Coreq: EDEL 4050  and EDLT 4630 .
