GEOL 4090 - Environmental and Exploration Geophysics 4 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Students develop an understanding of the principles and methods used to acquire, analyze, and interpret geophysical data. Emphasis on seismic/radar, gravimetric, and electromagnetic methods. Applications to hydrogeology, environmental engineering and science, soil science, contaminant transport and remediation, near surface geology, geotechnical problems, oil and gas exploration, and carbon sequestration. Includes Honors sections. Preq: Junior standing. Coreq: GEOL 4091 .
