MATH 8000 - Probability3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)
Study of basic probability theory with emphasis on results and techniques useful in operations research and statistics. Topics include axiomatic probability, advanced combinatorial probability, conditional informative expectation, functions of random variables, moment generating functions, distribution theory and limit theorems. Students are expected to have completed a course in multivariable calculus before enrolling in this course. Offered fall semester only.
