MICR 6150 - Microbial Genetics3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Investigates the molecular basis of microbial lives. Topics include essential genes involved in DNA, RNA and protein metabolism; mutations and genome evolution; global gene regulation; and genetic analysis, using both forward and reverse genetics. Students are expected to have completed coursework in bacterial physiology, biochemistry and genetics before enrolling in this course.
