PES 8090 - Analytical Techniques in Plant Science

3 Credits (2 Contact Hours)
Theory of and practice in current techniques of separation science; hands-on experience with extraction, isolation and characterization of chemical compounds associated with plants and microorganisms using techniques such as thin layer chromatography, gas chromatography, mass spectroscopy, high pressure liquid chromatography and electrophoresis. Preq: BCHM 4230 and CH 2230 and CH 2240. Coreq: PES 8091 .
