ED 9600 - History and Philosophy of African American Education
3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)Examination of the historical and contemporary philosophies, practices and pedagogies for Black education from the early nineteenth century through the present. The course emphasizes the educational literature in the areas of culturally responsive pedagogy, African-centered pedagogy and curriculum, multicultural curriculum and critical race theory.
