GEOL 6090 - Environmental and Exploration Geophysics4 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Students develop an understanding of the principles and methods used to acquire, analyze, and interpret geophysical data. Emphasis on seismic/radar, gravimetric, and electromagnetic methods. Applications to hydrogeology, environmental engineering and science, soil science, contaminant transport and remediation, near surface geology, geotechnical problems, oil and gas exploration, and carbon sequestration.
