EES 8110 - Ionizing Radiation Detection and Measurement

3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)
Fundamentals on the detection and measurement of ionizing radiation. Topics include nuclear electronics; counting statistics; radiation interactions; basic gas, scintillation, and semiconductor detectors; gamma-ray spectroscopy; health physics survey instrumentation; and thermoluminescent dosimetry.
