ECON 4580 - Natural Resource Use in the Global Economy 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) This course covers the application of microeconomic concepts and models to the use of natural resources in the global economy. Students evaluate the efficiency and sustainability of natural resource use, as well as the extent to which the use promotes economic development. Focus is on uses of energy resources, recyclable resources, land, and water and evaluation of policies that affect their use. Preq: AGRB 3570 or ECON 3140 ; and MATH 1020 or MATH 1060 .
