ENGR 1020 - Engineering Disciplines and Skills 3 Credits (2 Contact Hours) Provides foundational engineering problem solving skills. Students demonstrate problem solving techniques with an emphasis on dimensions and units, create and utilize spreadsheets for analysis, employ modeling techniques, and interpret the validity of experimental results. Includes exploration of various engineering disciplines. Introduces professional issues appropriate to engineering. Various forms of technical communication are emphasized. Includes Honors sections. Preq: A score of 65 or higher on the Clemson Mathematics Placement Test (CMPT); or a score of 640 or higher on SAT Math section; or a score of 27 or higher on ACT Math section; or one of the following MATH courses (concurrent enrollment is allowed): MATH 1040 or MATH 1060 or MATH 1080 or MATH 2060 or MATH 2080 with a C or better.
