HIST 4370 - Slavery in Africa

3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)
An examination of the history and memory of slavery in Africa from the precolonial era to the present. Students analyze a variety of primary sources ranging from oral histories to written documents, while delving into historiographical debates and methodological issues surrounding the study of slavery. Preq: Sophomore standing.
