GC 6440 - Current Developments and Trends in Graphic Communications4 Credits (2 Contact Hours) The field of graphic communications is intrinsically global, with roots spanning Asia and Europe and a strong presence across all continents today. This course explores the intersection of graphic communications and sustainability, focusing on global challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. Students examine how the industries within graphic communications, including printing and digital media, contribute to and address current challenges such as sustainable production, responsible consumption, and the impact of communication technologies on urban and community development.
