HLTH 8020 - Health Economics

3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)

Provides in-depth exposure to economic concepts and theory as applied to the health services sector. Topics include health-care demand and supply analysis, consumer behavior, production and costs, perfect competition vs. healthcare competition, price discrimination and regulation. Students are expected to have completed an undergraduate course in principles of economics before enrolling in this course.
