Clinical Diagnostics Certificate

Program Description

The Clinical Diagnostics Certificate allows graduate students to apply their scientific skills in a clinical setting to perform a variety of diagnostic assays within a CLIA-certified, high-complexity laboratory. Students obtain the scientific, managerial, and logistical knowledge to participate within and operate a clinical diagnostic laboratory. This certificate requires 15 credits of coursework.

• BIOE 6270 - Clinical Laboratory and Regulatory Management 3 Credits  
• BIOE 6280 - Advances in Biomolecules and Biosystems for Medical Applications 3 Credits  
• BIOE 8900 - Bioengineering Internship 1-6 Credits  (6 credits of BIOE 8900 are required)
