ME 4320 - Advanced Strength of Materials 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Topics in strength of materials not covered in ME 3020. Three-dimensional stress and strain transformations, theories of failure, shear center, unsymmetrical bending, curved beams, and energy methods. Other topics such as stress concentrations and fatigue concepts are treated as time permits. Preq: ME 2040 with a C or better.
