GEOL 3800 - Caribbean Field Study

3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)
This field-based course explores the geologic evolution of the Caribbean volcanic island arc system. Students visit an island in the Caribbean and observe first-hand fumaroles, hot springs, geologic hazards, and deposits from volcanic eruptions, and how humans have adapted to this volcanically active tropical paradise. May be repeated for a maximum of six credits. Preq: GEOL 1010 .
