BIOL 4400 - Developmental Animal Biology 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Developmental biology explores the process by which a single-celled zygote develops into a complex animal. Principles and molecular mechanisms of fertilization, organogenesis, cellular differentiation, morphogenesis, and post-embryonic development are discussed, including how alterations produce birth defects. Includes Honors sections. Preq: BIOL 1040 or BIOL 1110 ; and GEN 3000 or GEN 3020 .
