PES (ETOX, GEOL) 4850 - Environmental Soil Chemistry 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours)
Study of soil chemical processes (sorption, desorption, ion exchange, precipitation, dissolution, and redox reactions) of nutrients and inorganic and organic contaminants in soils and organic matter. Chemical complex equilibria and adsorption phenomena at the solid (soil, sediment, and mineral) water interface are emphasized. May also be offered as ETOX 4850 or GEOL 4850 . Preq: CH 1020 or PES 2020 .
